Virtual financial planning

Personal financial planning, delivered online.

We meet by video to connect retirement, taxes, investments, and family priorities in a plan built around your life. KLD is based in Lebanon, Ohio; if you live elsewhere in the U.S., we confirm whether we can serve you in your state before an engagement begins.

Start with a real decision

Your questions do not have to fit in one category.

We start with the question that brought you here and work through the other choices it touches. A video meeting gives us room to talk through the details together.

01 / Retirement

When could we retire?

We compare spending, income sources, healthcare, taxes, and withdrawal timing, then test what changes under different assumptions.

02 / Taxes

Which choice helps over time?

We can weigh account types, future withdrawals, and timing with the rest of your plan, coordinating with your tax professional where appropriate.

03 / Investments

Does the portfolio fit our goals?

We consider risk, diversification, costs, time horizon, and your preferences. We explain the tradeoffs before recommending a course.

04 / Life changes

How do we choose what comes first?

New benefits, stock awards, family needs, debt, or a move can shift the plan. We help put the decisions in order and revisit them as life changes.

Ways to work together

Choose the level of help you need.

We define the work and fee before you decide. Planning can stand on its own; moving investments is not a requirement for a financial plan.

A personal relationship, online

We can meet where your day already happens.

Our first conversation is by Zoom. If we continue, we use an intake to understand your full picture, then meet to walk through the plan and the choices behind it. We explain the client portal and communication process during onboarding.

You get time to consider the written proposal before deciding. If a question calls for your CPA or attorney, we can coordinate with them as the engagement allows. We are based in Southwest Ohio and can discuss in-person options for nearby clients.

A clear path from first call to decision

How do we begin together?

We want you to understand the work, the people involved, and the cost before deciding whether to become a client.

Initial interview

Meet us on Zoom for about 20 minutes. Tell us what brought you here and where you live so we can check service availability.

Discovery

If it makes sense to continue, complete our intake and help us understand your goals, accounts, and decisions ahead.

Strategy session

We discuss the initial plan, the key tradeoffs, and a written proposal for the services and fee.

Time to decide

Review the proposal, ask questions, and choose whether to engage us. We do not ask for a decision in the strategy session.

This is the usual path for ongoing planning. A focused project may follow a shorter process. Onboarding follows only if you choose to work with us and we confirm we may serve you in your state.

For clients beyond our local area

Where you live is part of the first conversation.

We welcome a conversation about working virtually. Advisory services are available only where KLD Wealth Management, LLC and its representatives are properly registered or exempt from registration. A video meeting does not change that requirement.

Tell us your state when you reach out. We will confirm whether we can serve you there before an advisory engagement begins.

Good to know

Questions about working virtually

Can you work with clients in every state?

We cannot promise availability in every state. We confirm whether KLD and its representatives are properly registered or exempt in your state before an advisory engagement begins. Please tell us where you live when you reach out.

What happens in the first video meeting?

It is a 20-minute Zoom conversation about what prompted you to contact us, your questions, and how we work. You do not need to gather account statements or balances beforehand. We also ask where you live so we can check availability.

How do we share information and stay in touch?

After the first call, we explain the intake and what information we need. During onboarding, we walk through the client portal and how reviews and communication work for your engagement. We will tell you which method to use for sensitive documents.

Do I need to transfer investments to get a plan?

No. Financial planning is available without transferring investments. If KLD does not manage an account, you remain responsible for implementing trades in that account. We explain the division of work in your written agreement.

How will I know what it costs?

Our pricing page gives you published rates and a fee estimator. The service scope and exact fee are confirmed in writing before you engage us. Fund expenses or other third-party costs may also apply to investment accounts.

What if I prefer to meet in person?

We are based in Lebanon, Ohio, and can discuss in-person options for nearby clients. If you live farther away, we will explain how meetings and ongoing communication would work virtually before you decide.

Start with a conversation

Bring us the question on your mind.

We will listen, explain the next steps and fees, and confirm whether we may serve you in your state before an engagement begins. No statements are needed for the first Zoom conversation.
