Fee-only. Fiduciary. Led by David Wiedmeyer, CFP®.What is on your mind right now?
You do not need to have everything figured out before we talk. A useful plan starts with your question and follows the other decisions it affects.
Can we retire when we want?
We look at the life you want to fund, income sources, withdrawal timing, healthcare, taxes, and the risk your investments may need to carry.
Explore financial planning →Are we overlooking a tax tradeoff?
We compare possible choices across years and coordinate with your tax professional when a decision calls for specialized tax advice.
See how planning connects decisions →Do our investments fit the plan?
We consider your time horizon, risk, diversification, costs, and any preferences that matter to you. Every investment choice has tradeoffs.
Explore investment management →How do we make room for competing goals?
College, debt, protection, retirement, and enjoying life now can all compete for the same dollars. We help you set an order that reflects your priorities.

We are based in Lebanon, Ohio, and serve clients throughout Dayton and the Miami Valley. We can work together in person or virtually, depending on location and preference. Our first interview is a 20-minute Zoom conversation, so you can begin without gathering statements or traveling to our office.
David Wiedmeyer, CFP®, founded KLD Wealth. Today we work as a team, tell you who leads your engagement, and coordinate with your tax or legal professionals when the plan calls for it.
What happens after you reach out?
We want you to understand the work and the cost before you decide whether to become a client.
Initial interview
Tell us what prompted you to reach out. We listen, answer questions, and see whether continuing makes sense.
Discovery
If we continue, you complete an intake and we learn more about the decisions your plan needs to address.
Strategy session
We walk through an initial plan, the tradeoffs, and a written proposal for services and fees.
Time to decide
You review the proposal and bring back questions. We do not ask you to decide during the strategy session.
This is the usual path for an ongoing planning relationship. Focused work may follow a shorter process; onboarding follows only if you choose to engage us.
Questions from Dayton-area clients
Do I need to live in Dayton or meet in person?
No. We are based in Lebanon and serve Dayton-area clients in person or virtually. The initial interview is a 20-minute Zoom conversation. We can discuss later meeting options based on your location and engagement.
Do I have to move my investments to get a plan?
No. You can engage KLD for financial planning without transferring investments. If we do not manage an account, you remain responsible for implementing trades in that account. We explain what is included in your written agreement.
How will I know what it costs?
Our pricing page shows published rates and a fee estimator. Your exact services and fee are confirmed in a written agreement before you engage us. Ask us about fund expenses or other third-party costs that may apply.
What if my values affect how I want to invest?
We can discuss the preferences that matter to you and how they may affect diversification, costs, risk, and available investments. No approach can promise a particular return or remove all tradeoffs.
Bring us the question on your mind.
We will learn what matters to you, explain how KLD works, and help you decide whether the next step makes sense. No statements or account balances are needed for the first conversation.
